05 Jul: Mach1 Stages – Entry List

 … Mach 1 Stages, 9/10 July 2022 …

The 5th and 6th rounds of the 2022 Burnside Piling Contractors Scottish Tarmack Championship takes place this weekend over two days at Marchrihanish on the 9th/10th July – the surfing capital of Scotland!

The Mach1 Stages event is a double header so there’s a chance to score double points! Andrew Blackwood currently leads the series from Des Campbell and John Marshall so there’s a double chance here to open up the gaps at the top of the points tables – for at the moment neither of these three points leaders have entered!

It’s also Round 4 of the Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge which Sam Pattison currently leads after his exploits at the McRae Rally Challenge at the weekend

If anyone else wants to take part there’s still time to enter and make the trip. If you’ve been before you know what the venue is like, if you haven’t, all you need to know is it’s smooth and quick, bluidy quick. The more, the merrier.

The venue is technically closed during the rally but provision has been made for spectators to access the southern end of the site, park their cars, and do a bit of spectating, and can even have a look round the service area. Just look out for the green arrows off the A83 signposted ‘Machrihanish’.

First car gets under way on Saturday morning at 11.00 am and on Sunday morning at 8.00 am and should all be over by mid afternoon Sunday ready for an early trip home.
