… Ford Parts Cheviot Stages Rally, Sunday 28th October …
Whickham & District Motor Club and Hadrian Motor Sports Club have attracted a top quality entry for their Ford Parts Cheviot Stages Rally (in memory of Keith Knox) on Sunday with almost 100 cars and crews entered.
This year the event counts towards 9 national and regional championships including the Protyre MSA Asphalt Rally Championship, the Cobble Shop Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship and the AS Performance North of England Tarmacadam Rally Championship which will add to the spectacle.
The Event and the Service Area will be based on the Otterburn Ranges with 12 stages totalling approximately 60 miles of sealed surface roads on Military land with the first car getting underway at 08.30 Hrs on Sunday morning.
Spectators
The event is not promoted as a spectator event, however a number of spectators are attracted to the rally, although the remote nature of the venue means that this number is generally quite small.
A dedicated location where spectators can view the stages is generally arranged by the organisers so look out for the green arrows.
Spectators are not permitted vehicle access to the service area, where access is restricted to competitors and service personnel only, carrying the appropriate vehicle passes.
