31 Mar: DCC Stages Entry List

… Blackwood Plant Hire DCC Stages, Sat. 2nd April …
Rd02, Blackwood Plant Hire Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship …

Dunfermline Car Club have got a corker of an entry for this weekend’s second round of the 2016 Blackwood Plant Hire Scottish Tarmack series on Saturday, plus reserves!

There are no real surprises amongst the top ten but John Marshall will debut his new Subaru Impreza and Jamie Smith is promising to make an appearance in his long awaited 3 litre Ford Fiesta. Gareth White is confident his new Peugeot 208 R2 will be ready for the weekend and young Greg Inglis now has a Citroen C2R2 Max to tear up the tarmac.

Bruce Edwards is top seed in the Darrian with Colin Gemmell running behind in his Impreza. Gordon Adam is at number 3 in his Mk2 with Alistair Inglis at number 4 and given the car’s encouraging performances in its development year last season, perhaps the Lotus Exige will be able to give the Darrian and the others a run for their money this year.

All the more pity that this is non-spectator event, and that’s down to the site owners, not the rally organisers. A pity but look out for updates on the Blog and Facebook and watch out for Raymond’s regular results updates on: www.scotresults.co.uk.

The rally gets underway at 9.00 am on Saturday morning with the first of the day’s eight stages which will total some 46 miles of competitive motoring. Naturally, this on-line mag will be there and bring you the full story next week.
