DCC Stages Rally, Saturday 27th April ….
Round 3 (of 11) – BLUE Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship ….
Going into the third round of this year’s Blue Scottish Tarmack Championship, Stuart Baillie leads on 47 points from Ian Forgan. Colin Gemmell has 38 pts and Lee Hastings shares 36 with Stuart Walker, and given the quality of the entry for this weekend’s DCC Stages, that could all change.
Top seed is Bruce Edwards in the motorised skateboard, but look out for Tom Morris in that wicked Mk2 while the ‘Adam Family’ will be good value in their Mk2 as well. Nick Runcie will raise the fun factor in his demonic wee Saxo while further down the entry list sees the return of Shooey Steel – stand well back please! Richard Stewart blew his engine up last time and it will be interesting to see if the superglued Corsa’s bits can withstand the pace this time. One crew missing from the start line is likely to be Carl and Rob Tuer in the MG.
And just a reminder to any rally fans who fancy a shooftie. NO spectators are allowed at this event, it’s a lock-in! That’s down to the site-owners’ insurance requirements, so don’t bother turning up and trying to scale the fence – you might get hit by a low flying aircraft, or some other low flying object!
