03 Jan: British Historic C’ship dates

British Historic Championship dates …

The 2014 Mintex British Historic Rally Championship will once again see crews competing on the biggest motorsports events in the country.

The MSA’s premier Historic Championship will be the only national historic championship to offer the challenge of both asphalt and gravel stages.

It’s not just the variation of surface that makes the championship so special, but the quality of the stages that crews will be using.

Speaking on behalf of the BHRC John Hunt said: “Our events will use stages included on Wales Rally GB, the infamous ‘Killer Kielder’, the amazing asphalt lanes of Ulster and the Isle Of Man and the unrivalled speed of the Epynt Ranges. We are hugely excited to welcome crews new and old to participate in what promises to be a fantastic championship in 2014.”

The crews will compete on the biggest events with electric atmospheres, huge crowds and all the glitz and glamour that come with being alongside the British Rally Championship.

On top of the hustle and bustle of major city centre starts and finishes, BHRC crews will be featured in the best quality motorsports programming, on Motors TV, thanks to Special Stage UK and their award winning presenting team.

Triple British Historic Champion Guy Weaver will once again be sitting alongside David Stokes in the iconic Ford Escort MK1: “Looking at the BHRC for 2014 there are top quality stages and events to look forward to. We’ll be travelling to the biggest events in the UK and using what I believe are the best gravel stages in the country. David and I really enjoy the asphalt element of the championship as well. This year we have the Harry Flatters, Ulster and the Isle of Man to get to grips with. 2014 is looking like a really exciting year.”
